Abstract
PURPOSE:To scheme to improve gas consumption faculty in a cell of which power is due to oxygen gas generation by adding iron ion selected in a specific range to a paste-type cadmium cathode. CONSTITUTION:A closed-type alkaline accumulator is formed by using paste-type cadmium cathode plate. Cathode plate is formed by adding 0.05-1.0 weight% of iron ion cadminum active substance of this cadmium cathode plate. The iron ion added is desirable to be added in the form of metal iron, iron oxide, and iron hydroxide, and the particle diameter in 1-5mu as first particle is proper.
