Abstract
PURPOSE:The rolling mill which is able to continuously adjust the sectional shape of the rolling material, by combining and installing regular cam blocks, cross blocks, etc., by rocking the upper and lower work rolls in the opposite direction by operating the cam blcoks. CONSTITUTION:When the balance beam 23 is inclined to the full line position by the oil pressure cylinder 24, the cam blcok 11 is depressed by the rod 21, and the cam block 12 is drawn upward by the rod 22. Resulting from the foregoing, the upper cross blocks 13, 14 are moved to the left, and the lower blocks 15, 16 are moved to the right. Accordingly, the end part of the upper work roll 7 is moved to the left, and the end part of the lower roll 8 is moved to the right. The housing 1 is installed at both the ends of the rolls 3, 4, 7, 8, and the moving direction of the work roll chocks 9, 10 is opposite, therefore the upper work roll 7 and the lower roll 8 cross each other in the opposite direction to the axis of the backup rolls 3, 4.
