Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a ship which does not pollute in water even if sailing an area of relatively shallow depth by providing water stream deflecting blade for bending the wake of a propeller toward water surface at the stern thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Parallel arms 9, 9 are fixed to both ends of a rotary shaft 10 passed at the upper end thereof through the outboard to the stern of a ship 1 having a propeller 3 and a rudder 4 under the draft line 2 of the stern, and water stream deflecting blade 8 is fixed to between the arms 9 and 9. The arms 9 are normally rotated around the shaft 10 as designated by an arrow to be raised up over the deck of the ship for normal sailing. When the ship 1 sails the area of relatively shallow depth, the blade 8 is moved down into the wake 6 of the propeller 3 for sailing. Thus, the wake 6 is deflected toward the water surface by the blade 8, and accordingly not flown toward the sea bottom 5 to thereby prevent dust and muddy water on the bottom 5 from winding up.
