Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject ship wherein a pair of left and right propeller shafts are arranged at the ship's side, and the ship bottom recessed parts are formed at the propeller shaft side, whereby even when the draft is shallow and limited, the propelling efficiency is not lowered and the sufficient quantity of displacement can be assumed.
CONSTITUTION: A stern part 2 is provided at the ship' side a pair of, left and right, propeller shafts 1. Tunnel-shaped bottom recessed parts 5 are formed at propeller shaft sides between both propeller shafts. A buttock flow type bottom surface 4 is formed between left and right bottom recessed parts 5. More specifically, the propeller shafts 1 are separated from a sailing body centerline 2 as far as possible, and an ordinary stern part with propellers attached are provided at both boards, the buttock flow type ship bottom surface being formed therebetween. Accordingly, since tunnel shaped ship bottom recessed parts 5 can be formed at the propeller shaft sides between the propeller shafts, and the flow of water into the propellers is promoted, the quantity of water displaced does not decrease greatly, and further there is no exfoliation of water current does not arise, thus the increase of viscous resistance being inhibited.
