Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the title plate having a ferrite + martensite structure by regulating the Mo and Cr contents of steel contg. C, Mn, Si, Al and S followed by rolling, heating, cooling and coiling under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:Steel is made consisting of, by wt., C; 0.02-0.15%, Mn; 0.9- 2.0%, Si; 0.2-3.0%, Al<=0.10%, S<=0.02%, Cr and/or Mo; 0.15-2.0% (Mo; 0.15-0.10%), and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. This steel is hot rolled, cold rolled, heated to a temp. from the A1 transformation point to the Ar3 transformation point, cooled at a cooling rate of 1 deg.C/set or more, coiled at 250- 600 deg.C, and cooled. By this process a low yield point, high tensile steel plate is manufactured having a mixed structure based on ferrite and martensite and exhibiting superior workability such as an yield ratio of 65% or below.
