Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable uniform forming of toner layer and obtain recorded image of high quality, by demagnetizing the magnetic toner before the toner layer is formed.
CONSTITUTION: In the upstream of a toner supply process part 10 is disposed a hopper 15 made of nonmagnetic material which is designed to accommodate magnetic toner 2. when recording the picture image, a proper amount of toner is dropped from the hopper 15 and supplied into the toner supply process part 10. This magnetic toner receives magnetic force from magnets 12, 13 in the toner supply process part 10, and is deposited on the surface of a recording electrode 7. The magnetic toner dropped from the hopper 15 has been already demagnetized by a rotating permanent magnet 16. Before entering the toner supply process, the toner remaining in the surroundings of the recording electrode 7 is demagnetized in a demagnetizing process 18.
