Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a visible image of high quality while using an inexpensive paper as a recording medium even in hot and humid conditions, by a method wherein a magnetic toner on a toner carrier is transferred onto a recording medium by a magnetic attractive force so as to record a visible image.
CONSTITUTION: By rotating the toner carrier 1 which is provided with a fixed magnet roller 2 therein, an insulating toner 4 in a hopper 3 is restricted to be the desired thickness between the carrier 1 and a magnetic doctor blade 5 and is conveyed to a recording position by the carrier 1. By moving a recording needle 6 or by impressing a voltage on a recording needle 60, the toner 4a in a laminar form is selectively moved onto the recording paper 9 by the magnetic attractive force, producing a recorded image on the paper 9. In the figures, magnets 7aW7b function for producing the toner layer, generating a magnetic field for recording, recovering unused toner and preventing the outflow of the toner from the hopper, respectively.
