At this time, by balancing the electrostatic attraction of electrostatic charges on drum 1 with the magnetic attraction of roll 5, abnormal particles stick to drum 1, yet normal particles are carried on sleeve 4, removed from sleeve 4 with scraper 6, and recovered in recovering box 7. A container holding the normal toner particles is set in a demagnetizer to demagnetize the particles.
