Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain normal toner particles with high fluidity by separating toner particles based on resin and magnetic powder into normal toner particles and abnormal toner particles with a selector including at least a magnetic means and carrying out demagnetization. CONSTITUTION:Toner particles 9 based on resin and magnetic powder are supplied to toner supply vessel 3 of developing device 2. Insulating drum 1 is uniformly charged, and by relatively rotating nonmagnetic sleeve 4 and magnet roll 5, particles 9 are carried onto sleeve 4. At this time, by balancing the electrostatic attraction of electrostatic charges on drum 1 with the magnetic attraction of roll 5, abnormal particles stick to drum 1, yet normal particles are carried on sleeve 4, removed from sleeve 4 with scraper 6, and recovered in recovering box 7. A container holding the normal toner particles is set in a demagnetizer to demagnetize the particles.
