Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply the enameling without generating foam and pinhole, by applying the slip to form the first layer to the surface of steel sheet plated with molten aluminum, and by drying the slip at temperature lower than the specified temperature before applying the second layer, and then, by baking simultaneously the first and the second layers.
CONSTITUTION: The slip for forming the first layer is mainly composed of the frit, and includes the binder to be cured under 350°C. As the binder, one or more kinds of the alkaline silicate, the colloidal silica, the colloidal alumina, the silicone resins, CMC, PVA, etc., are selected. This slip is applied to surface of the molten aluminum plated steel sheet, and is dried at temperatures under 350°C; hereby, the film coat of thickness 100±50μ is strongly adhered. Next, the slip of the same material as the first layer or of other materials is applied to surface of above prepared first layer to form the second layer, and both of the first and the second layers are simultaneously baked at 500W600°C for about 5 minutes. The thickness of the second layer is specified to about 100μ, and in case of the self-cleaning coat, the thickness is specified to about 200μ.
