Abstract

PURPOSE: To provided the subject method comprising the steps of: providing insulation support members on coils respectively, fitting said members accommodating coils in the mold to support the coils, and injecting a resin therein, whereby the insulation strength of the insulation support members is improved.
CONSTITUTION: In the outer periphery of a high-tension coil 11, for example, an insulation support member 13a of a cross type in section is fitted in a recession 16 provided in a metal mold 14, and the high-tension coil 11 is located in the metal mold 14 and supported thereby. A projection 19 provided in an inner peripheral spool 18 of a low-tension coil 12 is fitted in a recession 20 provided in the mold 14 to locate and support the low-tension coil in the metal mold 4. Coils 11 and 12 accommodated in the metal mold 14 are heated and dried, and a synthetic resin 21 is injected in the metal mold within a vacuum tank, heating and hardening the same. Thereafter, the coils are released from the metal mold 14 to obtain the molded coils, which is then subjected to a hardening treatment to complete the hardening.
