Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain resin-impregnated molded coils whose electrical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics are excellent by impregnating spherical particles having specified diameters in a resin layer formed on the outer part of a blank coil, thereby enhancing workability, and performing high-density resin filling. CONSTITUTION:The blank coil 2 is wound around a frame 1, said raw coil 2 is set in a metal mold 3, and spherical glass particles are uniformly filled in the entire gaps of the coil 2. After the coil 2 and the metal mold 3 has been heated beforehand, a high vacuum is obtained by a pressure reduced tank, resin 4 is injected from an injection port 5, and the impregnation is conducted. Then, the resin molded coil 6 is formed by heating and hardening, and a resin layer 8 containing the spherical glass particles is formed on the outer periphery of the coil 6. The diameters of said spherical glass particles are specified to be 0.05-1.5mm.phi. Two or more kinds of the spherical particles having different diameters are combined, and the spherical glass particles are uniformly filled in the gaps. Thus, the coils whose electrical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics are excellent can be manufactured.
