Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a coil having excellent mechanical and electric characteristics by disposing a coil conductor through injection resin-impregnated fibrous insulating spacer on the outer periphery of an injection inner die to eliminate the deterioration of insulation and prevent cracks from occurring at the resin.
CONSTITUTION: A core is formed by an inner die 3 for molding jig, a cylindrical insulating spacer 7 of porous resin fibrous mat is wound on the outer periphery of the die 3, and a conductor is wound on the spacer 7 to thus form a coil conductor 5. Then, the die 3 is placed on a bottom die 1. Thus, an external die 2 is assembled, and coated with a cover. Then the mold is evacuated from its hollow portion 4. Then, filler is filled in the hollow portion 4 together with injection resin. The resin is then thermoset. The resin filled in the hollow portion 4 is partially impregnated in the spacer 7. Then, the dies 1, 2 are removed to thus form the injection resin 8 on the outer periphery, thereby producing a molded coil having excellent electric and mechanical characteristics.
