Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject method comprising the steps of interposing a core in an indentation of a female mold to inject therein an insulation curing synthetic resin to mold a bobbin, accommodating therein a coil while hardening is in progress, and applying therein the synthetic resin thereby to mold the coil in a tightly closed manner.
CONSTITUTION: A core 8 is interposed in the indentation of each of cylindrical molds 1 and 1' having a section of a W-shape. Grooves 4 and 4' are formed at the lower part of the inner walls 3 of the core 8, and bobbin shaped spaces 5 are formed between said grooves and mold cores 1", an injection port 6 and a sprue 7 are provided at the head portion. A lid 9 is also provided with an injection port 6' and a sprue 7'. A resin is injected by a transfer gun 12 so as to be filled in spaces 5, and the core 8 is removed while the curing is in progress. A coil 11 is externally fitted and accommodated in the indentation 2, and the lid 9 is applied thereon, the resin being injected and a bobbin 13 being formed integrally with the coil 11. After curing, the molds are removed, and burrs are removed to complete the tightly closed coil. According to the above described procedures, continuous molding can be carried out by a single mold unit without requiring to mold beforehand a bobbin, and hence tightly closed coils can be obtained with excellent productivity.
