Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform spark machining with high accuracy, by automatically changing an electric condition at a corner corresponding to the intersection of straight lines of programmed loci. CONSTITUTION:A machining voltage, a machining current and the relative moving speed between an electrode and a workpiece are controlled to be constant. When the machining reaches the corner, the machining speed rises and the voltage between the electrode and the workpiece changes. Therefore, the machining at the corner can be detected from that rise and change. The machining speed F is applied to a speed converter 15 to supply a digital signal to an electronic computer 6 provided with electric conditions 16. When the corner machining is detected, a digital value F and a detected level Fk are compared with each other to instruct an electric condition to a machining power supply unit 4 through an interface 17 to alter machining pulses.
