Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide uniform and precise machining of a work, by automatically compensating a change in a side gap which is produced when electric spark conditions are changed between a working electrode and the work. CONSTITUTION:A working electrode 1 and a work 2 are opposed to each other in working fluid and a pulse current is applied to the machining gap. A pattern generator 12 puts out a voltage for X-Y coordinateion, in correspondence with the eccentric positions formed by the electrode 1 and work 2. The angle theta of output VX- Esintheta, VY-Ecostheta is represented by an equation theta=omegat, and the angular velocity omega is constant or controlled in accordance with the conditions of machining gap. So the work 2 is eccentrically moved with a radius corresponding to a voltage E in regard to the electrode 1. The gap conditions are discriminated by a discriminating circuit 11. This can provide uniform and precise machining to the work 2.
