Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a uniform colored film excelling in throwing power, by forming anodic oxide film on the surface of Al (alloy), and electrolytically coloring by using an electrolytic bath containing metal salt, organic sulfone compound and unsaturated organic compound.
CONSTITUTION: After forming an anodic oxide film on the surface of Al or alloy thereof, a colored film is formed by electrolyzing in an electrolytic bath in which are dissolved metal salt such as Ni, Co, Sn, and Cu and an organic additive selected from organic sulfone compound such as p-toluene sodium sulfonate and unsaturated organic compound. As the metal salt, a salt of sulfuric acid, sulfamic acid, oxalic acid, acetic acid, tartaric acid, or phosphoric acid is used. As the unsaturated organic compound, a compound having carbonyl group, vinylene group, ethynylene group, imino methylene group, cyano group, thiocarbamoyl group, or azo group is used.
