Abstract
PURPOSE: To electrochemically form a clear colored stripe pattern having a superior corrosion resistance, by electrolyzing by an alternating current in the electrolyte containing alkali metal salts of inorganic acid or organic acid, and further electrolyzing by a direct current in said electrolyte using Al material as cathode after forming the anodic oxidation coating on the surface of Al or Al alloy.
CONSTITUTION: Anodic oxidation coating is formed on the surface of Al or Al alloy by the usual method after carrying out degreasing treatment of Al or Al alloy preliminarily. Next, said Al or Al alloy is impregnated in the electrolyte containing one kind or two kinds of alkali metal salts or alkali earth metal salts of organic or inorganic acid and pitching part is generated by carrying out the electrolytic treatment by an alternating current. Continuously, direct current electrolytic treatment is carried out in the same electrolyte using Al material as cathode and the anodically oxidized coating is scooped out around said pitching part. Moreover, the anodic oxidation is carried out and as occasion demands, coloring treatment is carried out and then, colored stripe pattern having a superior corrosion resistance is clearly formed on the surface of the Al material.
