Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce uniform and deep colored film, by immersing aluminum having anodic oxide film into an electrolytic bath of metallic salt, and by repeating two or more cycles of the combined treatment of no current state, AC electrolysis, and cathodic DC electrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: Anodic oxide film is formed on the surface of Al, or Al alloy. Said Al is immersed in an electrolytic bath made by dissolving metallic salt, and is left to stand in no current state for a prescribed time e.g. ≥60sec, then AC electrolysis is performed at 6W20V voltage, 0.05W1.0A/dm2 current density. For the metallic bath is used one or more members among the soln. of Ni salts, Co salts. Said soln. is adjusted at about 2W6pH, if necessary boric acid or Mg sulfate is added. Then cathodic DC electrolysis is performed using Al as a cathode at 30W 40V voltage, 0.05W1.0A/dm2 current density. After a prescribed time e.g. about 5W15sec, current is removed and then cathodic DC electrolysis is performed once again, thus ≥two cycles of these operation are repeated. Hereby, beautiful film having uniform, deep color is produced.
