Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a header plate material with a sufficient resistance to corrosion and strength without performing surface treatment, by using the header plate so that a clad layer of a prescribed composition faces the interior of a tank. CONSTITUTION:An appropriate brazing material 3 is clad on one side of the aluminium alloy core 2 of the header plate 1 for a radiator made of aluminium. An aluminium. alloy layer 4 comprising 0.6 % or less of Si, 0.7 % or less of Fe, 0.20 % or less of Cu, 1.5 % or less of Mn, 0.10 % or less of Zn and 0.05 % or less of Ti is clad on the other side of the core 2 made of aluminium alloy. The clad layer 4 has a sufficient strength and a corrosion resistance which is not affected by heat treatment condition. A desired effect thus is attained.
