Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the combustion in a fluidized-bed furnace, by appropriately controlling the ratio of the quantity of fuel conveying air to that of air necessary for the combustion. CONSTITUTION:An air dispersion plate 6 is provided at the bottom of a fluidized bed 1. A nozzle pipe 9 is inserted into the fluidized bed through the air dispersion plate 6. Fuel is conveyed by air through the nozzle pipe 9 so that an air fuel mixture is injected into the fluidized bed 1. The ratio of the quantity G1 of the fuel conveying air to that GT of the air necessary for the combustion is set at 0.2 to 0.5. The length of the nozzle pipe part from the air dispersion plate 6 to the end of the nozzle pipe in the fluidized bed is set at 20 to 100 mm. The diameter of the opening of a burner heat 10 attached to the tip of the nozzle pipe 9 is made equal to 77 to 54 % of that of the pipe 9 or rotary blades are provided to cause the mixture to swirl.
