Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably perform one-side terne plating by coating a predetermined coating material onto one side of a steel sheet with an oxide film forced to be formed on the surface; curing the material to strengthen the sealing property; and plating the other side. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet is annealed in a reducing atmosphere and exposed to an oxidizing atmosphere in the sheet temp, range of 200-400 deg.C in the cooling process to form an oxide film on the sheet surface. The film thickness is pref. 200- 1500 Angstrom . An ultraviolet-curing coating material is coated onto one side of the sheet and cured. The coated sheet is pickled to remove the oxide film on the other side, followed by treatment such as washing and introduced into a terne plating bath. After terne plating the cured film which became useless is removed to obtain a one- side terne-plated steel sheet.
