Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote a removal of dusts produced due to a discharge process and to enable a high speed discharge processing, by vibrating a conductive wire forming a wire electrode, which located facing and opposite to an object to be processed, according to a non-contact system. CONSTITUTION:A conductive wire 10, which forms a wire electrode, is wound out in the direction A, and is positioned facing and opposite to an object to be processed and with a gap provided between them, and is discharged. A pulse voltage having a proper frequency is applied from a discharge process power source 20, and a discharge processing of the object 12 to be processed is proceeded. A processing current flowing into the wire 10 is also flown into a conductive member 22, and as a result a periodical magnetic power, which corresponds to a current value (i) and a size of a gap G, acts between the wire 10 and the member 22. And thus, the wire 10 can be vibrated in such a condition as is desired, and the removal of processing dust can be promoted.
