Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide contactless oscillation of wire, by utilizing the interaction between discharge current through the wire and the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:When high frequency pulse generated by a power source 10 is applied between a work piece 1 and a wire 3, spark discharge is produced between the wire 3 and the side wall of a slit 1a caused by spark on the work piece 1 to erode to work. At the same time, the high frequency pulse generates a pulse current through the wire 3. Consequently the wire 3 is oscillated between both magnetic poles 8a, 8b.
