Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat medium type pyrolysis apparatus with simple contitution and low cost by a method wherein two or more of a pyrolysis furnace equipped with a head medium in the interior thereof are provided together and a hot air introducing pipe and a decomposed gas exhaust pipe are connected thereto respectively by a switching cock.
CONSTITUTION: When a heat medium (a fluidized bed utilizing refractory bricks, sands or the like) within a pyrolysis furnace 1 is sufficiently heated by combusting chars, a three-way cock 6 is operated to block the hot gas from being supplied into said pyrolysis furnace 1 and crushed solid waste materials D are supplied by a screw feeder 2. The waste materials is thermally decomposed while dropped within a furnace and formed tar and a gas are introduced into an arranged pipe 11 for the thermally decomposed gas through an arranged pipe 10 and a four-way cock 9. On the other hand, in a pyrolysis furnace 1', hot air is supplied through the three-way cock 6 to heat a heat medium. The exhaust gas is exhausted from a hot air exhaust arranged pipe 12. After the heat medium 3 is sufficiently heated, the hot air supply is interrupted and waste material is supplied to be treated similarly.
