Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause rotation in a fixed direction despite the change in the direction of a flow, by providing blades on pairs of horizontal shafts so that the blades receive flows in many directions and rotate in a prescribed range around the lower horizontal shafts.
CONSTITUTION: When a wind comes in the direction of an arrow in the figure, a blade 3a is overlapped with a horizontal shaft 4 and the lower edge of another blade 5a is overlapped with the front of another horizontal shaft 7 so that these blades serve as a series of wind receiving plates. Other blades 3b, 5b are kept almost horizontal backwards and hardly receive wind pressure. Still other blades 4a, 4b, 6a, 6b on horizontal shafts 4, 6 extending in the direction of the wind are kept free and do not receive wind pressure.
