Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency by inclining an impeller to its axial direction according to water or wind force so as to follow an effective angle, turning it toward the changed direction of flow, and making it neutral during a period of direction change.
CONSTITUTION: An impeller 12 is adapted to be inclinable to a rotary shaft 14 centering or around a shaft 13 and an inclination angle of the impeller 12 is controlled by springs 15, 16. During no wind or no water flow, the impeller 12 is placed at a right angle with a shaft 14. When it flows along the arrow (b), the impeller 12 inclines toward the lower course of its flow around the shaft 13 to give the shaft 14 a rotary force in the direction as the arrow shows. When it flows along the arrow (c), the same rotary force is applied to the shaft 14. In this case, the impeller 12 rotates before inclination up to the position where control forces of the springs 15, 16 and water force or wind force applied to the impeller 12 are balanced effectively with each other.
