Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment of control force to suit the wind force and to enable to vary the pitch angle over a wide range, by disposing a centrifugal counterweight or the like in a guide cylinder, and interconnecting the counterweight with a spring-load slider by the intermediary of an arm. CONSTITUTION:When the speed of rotation of a wind turbine becomes higher than a certain value, a counterweight 13 is moved radially outwards along a guide cylinder 12 and an arm 14 is turned in a direction B, so that a slider 17 is urged toward the top of a turning shaft 6 against the force of a compression spring 18. Resultantly, rod 19 connected to the slider 17 in a unitary manner is pulled in a direction D and blades 1 are turned around respective blade shafts 7, so that their pitch angle is varied. Thus, the pitch angle of the blades can be varied.
