Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent blades from vibration in such a way that flexible blades of a Darius type windmill are formed by particularly shaped vanes so as to form rigid blades to be coupled vanes to one another when the turning radius is made larger.
CONSTITUTION: V-letter shaped notches 19 are provided between flexible blades 1 and blade core materials 18, and the angle α of each notch is set to be 0° when the turning radius of the flexible blades becomes the largest. Blade surface materials 17 are coupled to the surfaces of the blade core materials 18 for the purpose that they cover in the notched portions, and smooth the surfaces of the flexible blades 1. Flexible steel belts made of thin stainless steel or the like is appropriate as the material of the blade sole plates 16. Besides, light and hardly reformable material, such as foam plastic, balsa material or the like is appropriate as the material of the blade core materials 18.
