Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the high-speed printing without causing any discontinuous point, by selecting the blocks sequentially and one by one along one way within each group and then securing the opposite direction to each other between the adjacent groups. CONSTITUTION:Picture signal A equivalent to one line and supplied from the picture signal producing circuit is divided into two groups. Then the signals of first-half 15 bits and the signals of second-half 15 bits are written into RAMI and II like B1 and B2 respectively. And during writing into RAMs, the signals on the preceding line are delivered by three bits to shift registers III and IV like C1 and C2 each. Accordingly, three bits up to the 1st-3rd bits plus 30th-28th bits are supplied to registers III and IV each in the first printing. And in the first printing, the electrode is selected so that the fixed signal may be supplied for the specified period to common electrodes 121-1210 of the heat-sensitive head 10. Thus the heat generation is secured for the element which gives the black signal among the heat generating elements. In such way, no pitch difference is caused by the paper feeding and at the boundary between the two groups, thus ensuring the pringing with no discontinuous point caused.
