Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce casting cycle and improve productivity by providing the casting device which sets a single upper mold and performs pouring, cooling and upper mold rapping as well as the device which transfers the casting device and plural lower molds to respective casting process positions.
CONSTITUTION: The core 13 having been preheated is held by a core set device 3 and is sent from a core preparation line 2 onto the lower mold 11 on a casting device 6. After this, the upper mold setting and pouring are accomplished and after standing until the portion of the upper mold cooling faster completes freezing, the upper mold is rapped. Thence, the casting and lower mold 11 are transferred to the cooling station 8 by a lower mold transfer device 7 and at the same time the lower mold 12 moving cooperatively with the lower mold 11 is transferred from the cooling station 7 to the device 6. In the cooling station 8, the cooling process and lower mold rapping process progress and the casting 14 having undergone rapping is transferred to a casting process line 5 by a casting transfer device 4. Thence, the lower mold 12 and casting are transferred to the station 7 by the device 8, at the same instant of which the core 13 is set to the lower mold 11 on the device 6.
