Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent liquid varnish in an armature winding from flowing out when the varnish is heated to harden, by impregnating the winding set in an iron-core slot with liquid varnish, and coating the winding surface with powder resin, before heating the liquid varnish to harden. CONSTITUTION:An armature winding 3 is set in an iron-core slot 2, and impregnated with varnish of a thermosetting liquid resin. Immediately after taken out from an impregnation bath, the winding 3 is coated with powder resin, which is heated to harden. Thus, the liquid resin can be prevented from flowing out because, in the heat treatment process, the powder resin hardens to from an uniform thin layer 4 on the surface of the winding 3, before the impregnated liquid resin hardens.
