Abstract
PURPOSE: To lift seawater up to a reservoir situated at height by a feed air pressure within a secondary tank produced at high tide, while the seawater being drawn up beforehand in the secondary tank by a negative pressure at the time of air discharge, by a method wherein the air located at the top inside a pressure-regulating box is fed in or discharged from the secondary tank by the function of the ebb and high tides.
CONSTITUTION: The level of water inside a pressure-regulating box 3 sunk with its bottom opened 2 in the seawater 1 and its top exposed on the surface of water rises and lowers according to the ebb and flow of the seawater 1, and the air in the upper part inside the pressure-regulating box 3 is fed in or discharged from the secondary tank 4 through an air pipe 5. When the air in this secondary tank 4 is discharged into the pressure-regulating box 3 through the air pipe 5, the pressure in the secondary tank 4 turns to be negative and the seawater 1 is drawn up into the tank 4 turns to be negative and the seawater 1 is drawn up into the tank 4 through a draw- up pipe 7 equipped with a check valve 6. At high tide, the seawater, being pressurized by the air fed in the secondary tank 4, can be lifted up to a reservoir 10 situated at height through a water-lifting pipe 9 with a check valve 8.
