Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently preheat the sea water, by preheating the sea water with the vapor generated at the flash-evaporator in the brine system and the vapor of the preheater in the vapor system.
CONSTITUTION: The steam condensate sent from the first-effect evaporator 11 joins the saltless water sent from the second-effect evaporator 12 at the preheater 7 in the vapor system, and the mixture is introduced into the saltless water chamber 42 of the flash-preheater 18 in the brine system through the pipe 34, and preheats the sea water. The unevaporated brine of the first-effect evaporator 11 is introduced into the brine flashing chamber 52 of the flash-preheater 18 in the brine system through the pipe 46, and is flash-evaporated to generate the vapor which then preheats the sea water held in the condenser-tube 24. The unevaporated brine of the brine flashing chamber 52 of the flash-preheater 18 in the brine system is introduced into the second-effect evaporator 12 through the pipe 47. The saltless water of the flash-preheater 18 in the brine system is introduced into the preheater 6 in the vapor system through the pipe 35. Thereafter, similarly to above, the flash-preheaters 16W 18 of the brine system are installed among the preheaters 5W7 of the vapor system, in order to effectively utilize the sensible heat of the brine.
