Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform desalting efficiently with less energy by introducing hot salt water or hot water into the flash evaporating chamber of a multiple-effect evaporator and introducing the steam generated into the driving side of an ejector.
CONSTITUTION: If sea water is introduced into the ejectors for the 2nd effect II through a water feed pipe 9 and is sprayed to the horizontal heat transfer pipe groups in the effect, the steam of high temp. generated in the 1st effect I is being introduced through a pipe 11, then the steam generates from the sea water on the outside surfaces of the pipes that are on the evaporation side by making heat exchanging. The steam in the pipes condenses to condensate. The generated steam is intook through a pipe 12 to a steam ejector 6, where it is mixed with the driving steam and is reheated. This mixed steam is introduced through a pipe 13 into the heating side pipes of the horizontal heat transfer pipe groups of the 1st effect I. The steam in the pipe condenses to condensate and acts as a heating source for the 2nd effect II through the pipe 11. The residual condensed water is pumped 14 to a pipe 15 and part thereof is discharged to the outside through a pipe 18.
