Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the radiation intensiy of luminous flame and improve the coefficient of heat transfer in a furnace by a method wherein the supply quantity of atomizing solvent is controlled at about 0.26Nm3/l or less for the atomizing air and at about 0.19kg/l or less for the atomizing vapor.
CONSTITUTION: A valve 9 and a pressure requlating valve 10 are provided on the passage of a duct connecting with the supply hole 3 of atomizing solvent and the supplying quantity of the atomizing solvent is controlled at about 0.26Nm3/l or less for the atomizing air and at about 0.19kg/l for the atomizing vapor. On this account, particle diameter of the sprayed fuel becomes larger and jetting velocity of the fuel is reduced. Therefore, the time for burning up fuel particles increases, coke is the form of the residual coal and soot in the form of particles float in the flame in the form of large particles and the formation concentration increases. Therefore, radiation quantity of luminous flame increases and efficiency of heat transfer in the furnace is improved remarkably.
