Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve shifting from a low-load run to a high-load run, by providing a link mechanism to open auxiliary valves when the throttle valve of a carburetor for low load is opened to a prescribed degree or more.
CONSTITUTION: When the throttle valve 59 of a carburetor for low load is opened to a prescribed degree, auxiliary valves 41, 42 are opened by a link mechanism LK. In the high-load slow rotation of an engine, in which the throttle valve 59 of the carburetor for low load is not opened, the auxiliary valves 41, 42 are opened so that some of a mixture supplied by the carburetor for low load is divided into second intake branch passages 35a, 35b, 36a, 36b, the flowing velocity of a mixture in first intake branch passages 33a, 33b, 34a, 34b is reduced, the flows of the mixtures from both the intake branch passages are caused to interfere with each other in combustion chambers and the swirls in the chambers are weakened.
