Abstract
PURPOSE:To control an intake introducing state for a mixture to a combustion chamber to an optimum level throughout a full range of loads, by opening a control valve only in a range of high loaded operation at a high speed and providing said control valve in the upstream from a subintake valve in a subintake line. CONSTITUTION:A main intake line 2 is communicated to a combustion chamber 1 through a main intake valve 4 having a valve lift characteristic for a range of low loaded operation of an engine. A subintake line 3 is communicated to the combustion chamber 1 through a subintake valve 5 having a valve lift characteristic for revolution of the engine at a high speed. A control valve 8, opened only in a range for the engine at high load and high speed operation and operated opening and closing in an ON-OFF state, is provided in the upstream from the subintake valve 5. In this way, the valve lift characteristic is set to an optimum state, and an intake introducing state for a mixture to the combustion chamber can be controlled to an optimum level throughout a full range of load of the engine.
