Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the construction work easy and also, to favorably carry out the after-treatment of treating water, by juxtaposing plural structures having each flow passage for descending, ascending, and circulation, and connecting starting end part of circulation flow passage with a common use vessel connected with all ascending flow passage.
CONSTITUTION: Starting end part of the circulation flow passage C is connected with the common use vessel 3 connected with all of the ascending flow passage B and also, the return pipe 5 of activated sludge from a separation apparatus 4 and the supply pipe 6 of water to be treated, such as urban sewage etc., are branched and connected with the upper part of each descending flow passage A. Oxygen containing gas is blown in to the vessel 3 from the nozzle 7 provided on the upper part of the passage A through the blower 9 and pollution indices, such as BOD etc., due to the activated sludge, are improved and coagulation of the sludge is effectively attained by bubbling dissolved gas in the passage B. Next, treating water is sent from the vessel 3 to the separation vessel 11 through the passage 10 and a part of the sludge is returned to the pipe 5 and purified water is taken out into the after- treatment apparatus 13.
