Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the separation of sludge in a treating tank and the simplification of pipings by blowing a high concentration oxygen gas to a bubbler connecting to a communicating pipe parallel to a liquid surface and returning the liquid lifted in this way to the treating tank by way of a settler connecting to a communicating pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water being supplied from a supply system 2 is admitted into the bottom in a treating tank 1. When a high concentration oxygen gas is supplied into a diffuser 8 through a pipe 9, this gas is sucked in the form of air bubbles into the liquid sucked into the bubbler 6, whereby an upward gushing force is given to the liquid. The liquid ascended into a communicating pipe 5 from the bubbler 6 moves axially in the pipe 5 and flows into an adjacent settler 7. This liquid returns via the setter 7 into the tank 1 and the air bubbles mixedly existing during this flow into the pipe 5 and flow together with the gas separated above the bubbler 6 in the pipe 5. The considerable portions thereof are circulated into the pipe 9 by a blower 10. The supernatant 4 in the tank 1 overflows and is discharged to the outside. The oxygen-gas-contg. liquid passed through the setter 7 supplies oxygen to the bottom layers of the sludge liquid 3.
