Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the supply of oxygen and the separation of activated sludge within the same tank by circulating the liquid in a treating tank through a lower chamber of a duct, a bubbler, an upper chamber of a duct and a settler by the upward gushing force by virtue of high concentration oxygen blowing.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid in a treating tank 1 taken into the lower chamber 44 of a duct 4 through an intake port 41 flows through a chamber 55 and a communicating port 57 from an inflow port 57 and enters an inside cylinder 52, where it is blown with high concentration oxygen gas by an air diffusing pipe 58. The upward gushing force thereof causes the liquid to ascend, to flow into the upper chamber 43 of the duct 4, to flow over a partition wall 42, and to flow into a settler 6. While it is gradually descending therein, it is separated of micro-air bubbles and becomes the liquid free from any air bubble. This liquid returns through a directing pipe 62 into the tank 1. The activated sludge contained in the liquid in the tank 1 is supplied of oxygen to biologically oxide BOD materials. Since gas is not directly blown to the liquid in the tank 1, the supernatant in the upper part and the sludge liquid in the lower part exist separately from each other in the tank 1 and since the treated water overflowing a weir 2 hardly includes any sludge, it does not require precipitation treatment.
