Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a thin type cell with excellent discharge performance and storage performance by loading an armored cell, in which their elements are laminated, on a sealing bench on which an annular frame with a concave area in cross- section and pressing under heat by a roller to seal them together. CONSTITUTION:The annular frame 13 with a concave area 12 in cross-section designed on the basis of the peripheral area 11 of a cell is provided. An armored cell is loaded on the sealing bench 15 in which the soft cushion 14 with elasticity is embedded in this concave area 12. For example, this cell consists of bipolar collecting bodies 1 and 2, negative and positive bodies 4 and 5, and a nonwoven cloth of acetalized polyvinyl alcohol fibers. On its peripheral area, current generation elements such as separators 6 on which a thermally fusible resin principally consisting of polyamide resin is coated or into which it is impregnated are laminated and armored with a filmlike envelope made of a synthetic resin.
