Abstract

PURPOSE: The graphite-containing copper alloy blank which is so made as to enable bearings, etc. of superior friction performances to be obtained through hot pressure- molding by heating copper coated graphite powder and addition agent for copper coated alloy in a reducing atmosphere thereby alloying the copper films.
CONSTITUTION: Addition agents for alloy of one or more kinds of Sn, Zn, Pb, Sb, MoS2 are mixed at the specific compounding ratio to the copper coated graphite powder applied with Cu plating on the graphite powder surfaces of 60W350 meshes and the mixture is heated in a reducing atmosphere to alloy the copper films. This copper alloy blank is hot-pressure-molded at the temperature near the melting point of the copper alloy, whereby it is made to the molding of a dry type bearing or the like. With this blank or molding, graphite powder 10W30% is dispersed evenly in the copper alloy matrix.
