Abstract
PURPOSE: A highly anticorrosive copper alloy for radiator with a specific composition comprising nor or more of Zn, Sn, Sb, and As, any one of In, P, and Mn, and the remaining Cu.
CONSTITUTION: The copper alloy contains 25 to 37 wt% Zn, 0.05 to 1.0 wt% Sn, 0.005 to 0.5 wt% one or both of Sb and As, 0.01 to 1.0 wt% any one of In, P, and Mn, and the remaining Cu. As with the usual copper alloys, the alloy components are added by turn while preventing the oxidation of copper by covering the surface of molten bath with charcoal powder.
