CONSTITUTION:The two-color sermosensitive recording paper is provided on the supporting member 4 with the first color developing layer 1 mainly composed of a colorless or light leuco dye prone to developing color in reaction with the phenolic substace and/or acid substace when heated and the second color developing layer mainly composed of a colorless or light leuco dye prone to developing color different from the color tone of the first color developing layer and phenolic substance and/or acid substance. In addition, a developing agent layer 2 mainly composed of a phenolic substance and/or an acid substance is provided between the first and second color developing layers. The existence of the intermediate layer prevents the developing of the first color developing layer in relation with the thickness-wise heat transfer when the second color developing layer is developed at a low temperature.
