Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium which obtains two recording pictures one time by a heat-sensitive recorder, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive ink layer is formed on a surface of a base paper and a heat-sensitive color development transition layer is formed on the other surface. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive ink layer 32 is formed on one surface of a base paper 31, and a heat-sensitive color development transition layer 33, which is of a solid phase having a colorless or white system color at the normal temperature and is brought into a color-development and is fludized by heat, is formed on the other surface. The ink layer 32 of the heat-sensitive medium 3 is brought into contact with a heating resistance surface of a thermal recording head 4, and the transition layer 33 with a recording surafce of a recording paper 2. A head 4 is heated corresponding to a picture signal to heat an ink layer 32A equivalent to the heated part for color development. Simultaneously, a corresponding transition layer 33A is brought into a color development with heat transferred to the base paper 31 to transfer the layer 33A to a recording paper 2.
