PURPOSE:To produce a clear image not influenced by heat diffusion, by using a combination of a heat-sensitive recording sheet for the reproduction with a sheet on which transfer will be carried out, the heat-sensitive recording sheet having a heat- sensitive color developing layer, which is capable of being melted by heat to be transferred, via a heat-release layer capable of being released by heat on the under- surface of the heat-sensitive recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive recording sheet A for the reproduction comprises a heat conductive support 1, the heat-sensitive color developing layer 2 layered thereon, the heat-release layer 3 capable of being released by heat located on the other surface of the support 1, and the heat-sensitive color developing layer 4 covering the layer 3 and capable of being melted by heat to be transferred. The recording sheet A and the sheet B on which transfer will be effected are combined. The sheets A and B are put one upon the other, and printing is carried out by a heat recording head. As the sheet A includes the heat-release layer 3 capable of being released by heat, the heat releasability is preferable, transferred spots would not occur, and a clear image can be offered.
