Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a transfer sheet to be effectively utilized and to permit a part to be erased also after recording, by a method wherein a sheet to be transferred consists of a heat-sensitive paper, while a color signal having a high recording frequency is recorded by a heat-sensitiveness, and other color signal is transferred for recording. CONSTITUTION:In heat-sensitive transfer sheets 21a and 21b, a transfer layer in 3 primary colors of red, blue, and yellow and a non-transfer region are formed. A sheet 20 to be transferred comprises a heat-sensitive paper. A picture signal, inputted to an input terminal 7, is separated into a recording signal and a color identifying signal by a separating circuit 8. The recording signal is applied to a recording control circuit 9, and the color identifying signal to a comparing circuit 13. The heat-sensitive transfer sheets are intermittently conveyed to a position of a heating head 3 by a record scanning timing in a manner to make contact with the sheet 20 to be transferred until an ink layer of a desired color is detected by a color detecting signal from a photosensor 11. A black signal is recorded by heat-sensitiveness on the sheet 20 to be transferred and at a part corresponding to the non-transfer region.
