Abstract
PURPOSE: To strongly improve the temperature versus frequency characteristics at the high temperature part, by inserting the temperature compensation circuit connecting capacitor in parallel with the series circuit of thermister and resistor, in series with the crystal oscillator.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature compensation circuit connecting the capacitor Cp in parallel with the series circuit of the resistors Rc and the thermister Rp is inserted to the crystal oscillator Y. The resistor Rc is of variable type so that the oscillation frequency at the reference temperature T0 can be in agreement with that at the temperature T2. Thus, the capacitance ratio at the manufacture of the crystal oscillator Y, variance in the capacitance between electrodes C0, and variance in the cut off angle can be compensated. Further, by selecting Cp, Rc so that the equivalent series capacitance of the parallel circuit of crystal Y is not more than 100PF, the temperature versus frequency characteristics at high temperature can be improved and the variable resistor Rc can be replaced to the diode and transistor TR. Further, a capacitor C5 is connected to the collector of TR of the oscillation circuit, output is picked up from this, allowing to make stable the output level to the temperature.
