Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease easily the occurrence frequency of the code error by giving the amplitude or angle modulation for the simultaneous transmission in synchronization with the repetitive cycle of the digital modulation signal waveform and with the specific waveform of the complementary relation. CONSTITUTION:In the radio system using the digital angle modulation method, the output of angle modulation transmitter 3 which gives the angle modulation via digital signal 1 is branched off into two signals via power divider 4. These two signals receive the amplitude or angle modulation with the specific waveform which is applied to modulation input signal terminals 7 and 8 for satisfaction of the mutual complementary relation through amplitude modulators 5 and 6, and are then transmitted simultaneously through transmission antennas 10 and 11 each. The waveform mi(t) is shown by the equation, where n means the integer, T is the repetitive cycle of the digital angle modulation signal waveform and M is the branch number each. In such way, the equivalent effect can be obtained at the receiver side to the maximum ratio composite diversity reception system, thus decreasing the occurrence frequency of the code error.
