Abstract
PURPOSE:To transmit the signal in mixture of analog and digital components by using one optical fiber, by transmitting the digital code after adding analogically at the transmission side, and by cancelling it through the addition of the pulse waveform in matching with the digital code after the level detection at the reception side. CONSTITUTION:The transmission side is constituted by providing the modulation circuit 3 modulating the analog input with a given bias, modulation circuir 4 modulating the logical product of digital signal with a given bias corresponding to it, addition circuit 5 adding the output of the circuits 3 and 4, and optical transmitter 6 transmitting the output of the circuit 5 and the addition circuit 5 adding the output of the circuits 3 and 4 to optical fiber 7 after converting the output to optical signal. Further, the optical receiver 8 detecting a given value level of the reception signal and demodulating it into electric signal, digital demodulation circuit 9 detecting a given level of the reception signal and demodulating digital signal, delay circuit 11 delaying the reception signal for a given time, and differential circuit 12 taking the difference between the output of the delay circuit 11 and the circuit 9 and that of the circuit 11 and demodulating the analog signal, are provided.
